    Era Living is seeking a part-time Recreation Assistant I to become the newest member of our Life Enrichment team located in our Lakeshore Community, South Seattle/Renton, WA.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    The Recreation Assistant coordinates group and individual activities that incorporate physical activity, emotional support and cultural exploration. All duties must be performed while ensuring resident safety, maintaining confidentiality and showing sensitivity to the needs and concerns of older adults. 


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Experience working with an aging population or with cognitively impaired adults.
    • Previous experience as fitness instructor or activities assistant and college courses in recreation or gerontology, preferred.
    • Ability to work Sunday through Thursday.
    • Excellent customer service and English communication skills (written and verbal).
    • A Current WA State Driver’s License is required.
    • Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and assist residents in emergency situations.
    • Ability to pass DSHS and State background check, required.
