Primary Responsibilities:
The Recreation Assistant coordinates group and individual activities that incorporate physical activity, emotional support and cultural exploration. All duties must be performed while ensuring resident safety, maintaining confidentiality and showing sensitivity to the needs and concerns of older adults.  


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Some college coursework; Degree and/or CTRS preferred.
  • Prior experience leading activities, including fitness programs; 2 years’ experience working with older adults or persons with cognitive impairments preferred.
  • Current WA State Driver’s License; Class “C” CDL preferred (Era Living will help pay the cost associated with obtaining a CDL)
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and assist residents in emergency situations.
  • Ability to pass DSHS and State background check, required.
  • Willing to workTuesday through Saturday, 8:30am-6pm.
